1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are essential for a site to work (for example, to keep you signed in). Others measure how a site is used or show advertising. Similar technologies, like local storage, do the same jobs. In this policy, “cookies” includes them.
2. The short version
3. Cookies we use
| Cookie | Where | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
Sign-in session (starts with sb-) | The app | Keeps you signed in and keeps your session secure. Set by our sign-in provider, Supabase | Your session, refreshed while you use the app |
| Slack connection check | The app, only when you connect Slack | A one-time security value that makes sure the Slack connection you start is the one that finishes | A few minutes |
These are “strictly necessary”: the app cannot work without them, so they do not need your consent. If you block them, you will not be able to sign in.
4. Booking pages
When a patient opens a practice’s booking page, we do not set cookies on their device. Details they submit are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Other sites' cookies
When you pay, you are sent to Stripe’s pages, which set their own cookies under Stripe’s policies. If you connect Slack or Mailchimp, those sites do the same. Emails sent through ModularMail use standard open and click tracking so a practice can see results, and a person can switch that off in their email app.
6. Your choices
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge explain how. You can also use your browser’s privacy controls or a “Global Privacy Control” signal; we have no advertising or analytics cookies for it to switch off.
